Our tomato plant is done ripening but of course we still have some green tomatoes left. I thought we’d have a southern night and try making fried green tomatoes. They were awesome!! I think we may preserve all these green tomatoes so we can keep making them! Working with ingredients on hand I decided on Salisbury steaks with hillbilly gravy (gravy made from bacon, flour and milk) and cheesy polenta. It was a slight detour from our generally healthy diet….:-/ but it’s Saturday and we worked hard today cleaning out our barn! We had earned our white flour indulgence!! I’ll be posting the recipes soon and making all of them again shortly for certain!
